Kolkata Rape Murder case :Mamta  Banerjee’s Sunday Demand To The CBI

CM Mamata Banerjee will lead a protest march calling for the death punishment for the suspects in the rape-murder case involving a doctor in Kolkata.

The gathering is in response to the August 13 decision of the Calcutta High Court to move the inquiry from the Kolkata Police to the CBI.

Case study: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will spearhead a protest march today at 4 p.m., calling for justice for the junior physician who was brutally raped and killed on August 9 inside the lecture hall of RG Kar College and Hospital.

This occurs one day after she said that attempts were being made to politicize the matter by the BJP and CPI(M). The gathering is also a reaction to the August 13 order of the Calcutta High Court to hand over the probe from the Kolkata Police to the CBI.

Banerjee had earlier given the CBI until Sunday to arrange the accused’s execution; the man has been taken into custody. The action came in response to claims made by demonstrators that the police conducted the probe improperly and that the Trinamool Congress tried to obliterate evidence.

Given Banerjee’s twin responsibilities as the head of the state government and the police, many find the demonstration strange. Derek O’Brien, a Trinamool MP and spokesman, provided an explanation for the party chief’s planned street demonstration today.

Brien emphasized the seriousness of the incident involving the young woman in Kolkata while defending Banerjee’s choice to spearhead today’s demonstration.

The murder and rape of a young woman in Kolkata is arguably the most vile and bestial crime that has ever occurred. The public’s fury makes perfect sense. With her family, in my thoughts and prayers,” he remarked.

In response to the query of why Banerjee is spearheading the demonstration, he stated, “The CBI, which is currently in charge of the case, has to provide daily updates on the investigation.” The Chief Minister gave Kolkata Police until August 17 to wrap up the probe. The CBI ought to follow suit.

After the CBI took up the case, it shouldn’t be casually dropped. The most severe penalties for the offenders and prompt justice are desperately needed right now. “No one who carried out this heinous deed should be spared,” he continued.

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has declared a 24-hour demonstrations against the alleged rape and murder of the young doctor at R G Kar Government College and Hospital in Kolkata.
